A French lady's Bonheur du jour in Louis XV style. A showcase beautiful piece of furniture, and she's practical too. Allover burr walnut on a carcass of Baltic pine. Gentle serpentine shape. Six little top cubby drawers and two central back nooks for stationery are trimmed with a brass gallery. Front has a long drawer and pull-out writing slope, with an ox blood leather skivver. Gorgeous Louis legs! Burnt saffron and autumn colour ways. Excellent condition. Circa 1920.
