Victorian Perambulator ...kiwi made!

Whose a good puppydawg, Rocket? Our resident canine supermodel was most miffed to have to be a baby in the Victorian Perambulator! Little did she know that this is a very very posh Christchurch made, James Clegg Co made perambulator. Everything except the rubber rims (imported from colonial India) is made in NZ. Sprung steel, pinstripped graphics, rolled cane, bentwood handles, leather reversible hood AND sold to the Dunedin uppercrust. In its day this pram was the equivalent price of 320 loaves of bread. Sure, there's some patina with roached leather, some leather patches, wear to handles and cane and good amount of perishing on the rubber rim wheels; but given its purpose and age, I think she warrants a bit of patina! This pram would look amazing as a shop prop, a steampunk accoutrement, or a film set prop. Circa 1880.
