Teak and Camphor Blanket Chest

The intoxicating and fantastic Orient is captured in this century old teak and camphor blanket chest.  A Hong Kong export, all over carved with forest fauna & flora; along with villagers beside a lake.  Arguing elders?  Are the youngsters escaping in the canoe?   The chest sits flat on the ground, which is an original feature.  Oriental brass hasp (sorry, no actual lock).   Roasted nutty hued.  Lined with insect repellent camphor wood...blanketin' lovely.   Great storage and a coffee table option.  Excellent condition.  Circa 1920.
