Rosewood Bureau Bookcase

Esquire Robertson, the retiring customs collector of Inverness, was well thought of.  His office presented him with this fantastic rosewood bureau bookcase on his retirement in 1936.  Beautifully crafted in precious rosewood.  Astragal glazing, adjustable upper shelves all upon a pedestal base with plenty of drawer storage.  Desk has a piano-hinge top.  The desk interior has a baize covered, interior slide top.  And a generous kneehole to match.  Travels as a twosome, plus the shelves.  Excellent condition.  Circa 1930.
