A medium size, hand knotted, Persian wool on wool carpet in super pleasant ambery-rust background with geometric diamond shaped lozenges, big wide busy border of daisy garlands and running water friezes. The rusty colour is complimented with caramels, black, red, navy and blushes of cream. It suits a spot where the owner loves earthy colourings, or is looking to pop some colour into their space. A wonderful lounge carpet for under the sofas, or even at an entranceway. Flipped over, the kilim side is gorgeous too.
This carpet has a very short nap, and there are places on it where the wear has met the weft, along with 100mm of fray on an edge. However, the carpet is intact, with some professional repairs. The end fringes are present still- albeit shortish around 60-100mm long. All part of a century of life on the floor. Circa 1930.
