Peasant Tansu

Tansu my sweet Pugsterpu.   Japanese peasant tansu make for nifty bedside cabinets, bathroom cabinets, chairside cup-o-tea holders, craft boxes and neat auspicious pressie ideas.  This tansu in pine and cedar and has been lightly waxed and has a wonderful collection of drawers, with cast iron fittings.  The brace for the starboard side drawers doesn't lock (the key was broken).   Little sniff of ancient bug holes.  Circa 1920.
