Meiji Period Bureau

This delightful busy, storytelling Meiji period bureau has got legend going on.  A Japanese dragon, fish legs, storks and Mount Fuji.  She is ALLOVER carved and even has scales on her inner thighs!  Roan colored, some charcoal looking areas, perhaps she got too warm?    Writing slope falls forward to reveal a fairly plainish interior with cubbies and drawers.    A neat little desk for home, or a piece to wow your visitors.  A few ancient repairs, and a couple of small recent ones.  A pinch of dead bug holes, hidden under the front apron.  Allover pretty good condition.  Circa 1900.
