This cute mahogany cake plate stand is a nifty wee piece.  Folds up, four plate holders, a handle to carry, stable feet.  Could be a bedside in a tight space, a sewing stand for your embroidery bits and bobs, or even use at high tea loaded with lamingtons and club sandwiches.  In excellent condition.  Circa 1920.
