Delightfully simple and yet so intriguing.  This Georgian oak bookpress would look amazing in a bookworm's paradise, a library, a bookshop, a museum.  Symbolic with a working screw action wood press plate... help to keep the bookspine straight, blot ink in a fresh letter.  way from   place or a library.  Great roasted peanut colour, and the drawers of course are excellent storage.  Age related plank splits on both sides, and some minor loss to the base of the screw; no borer.  Circa 1810.
