Country house oak bureau cabinet

An elegant, very early Victorian, quarter cut oak bureau cabinet.  This well-made bureau probably would have started life in an English country house.  Linear Georgian influences with country style exterior, waterfall inner drawers and secret cubby interior, bracket feet and Georgian drawer pulls.  Paneled door fronts and beaded drawer fronts.  Adjustable shelves in cupboard above.  Plenty of storage throughout.  Comforting fudgy oak colours.  In good commensurate condition:  faults are historic bug holes on secret cubby floor and historical side split restorations.  Quite a tall writing slope height, would suit a bar stool or standing desk operator.   Travels as a twosome.  Circa 1840.

Dimensions:  1020 Long, 520 Deep, 2015 High, 875 Depth writing slope out, 830 writing slope Height, 200 shelf Depth
