A colonial carpenter's kauri tool trunk in warm honey hues. Infused with a working life of patina... some knocks, the odd drill hole and stains, a whiff of dead borer holes, and a missing lock. Nevertheless, it will outlast all of us mortal lot, and ITM make for a great coffee table or storage endohbed trunk, with an interior with two sliding shelves originally for the carpenter's accoutrements...nails, screws, smaller tools. Plinth base with four little recessed feet for shifting around purpose. Circa 1890.
