An infrequent find... a Black Jack leather look beer jug from Royal Doulton. Sterling silver collar, matte charcoal glaze with embossed stitch lines, wide base tapered upto a pitcher spout. Takes about 1250ml of liquid. Eye-catching just as it is, or filled with flowers, leaves, twigs. Two small manufacture defects: a clay drip mark of 10mm length*3mm width at base; dash of glaze defect on side. Priced accordingly. An auspicious present for someone perhaps? Circa 1890.
