A magnificent Meiji, supposedly Samurai, two-piece Tansu chest. Fabulously patinaed ruby red lacquer over pine and cedar; with blossom- embossed iron fixtures. Two long drawers on bottom box, and collection of shorter drawers on top box. The boxes separate for transportation or use as two low height storage pieces. Keys to accompany the locking drawers. A wonderful decorative treasure. Excellent condition. Circa 1910.
